Things to note for Adobe Photoshop CS4 Portable:
1. The RAR file is named PhotoBackup to ensure it is not deleted from RS or MU.
2. If the password at first does not work in Winrar, then type it out when extracting and try again. Copy and Paste can cause problems sometimes.
3. If using Vista 32 Bit or 64 Bit, and running the Photoshop application doesn't work at first, run it as Administrator.
4. I do not and cannot guarantee this will run on Windows 7. It was made for Vista, the latest operating system when created. If you don't notice this, don't expect any compassion if you reply with 'Missing .dll or Need help on Windows 7'. The second Portable link given should work on Windows 7.
5. This is a Windows only portable.
FAQ
The keygen isn't there, and my AV says I have a virus. What do I do?
If you are having trouble viewing the keygen, this means that your Anti Virus application has flagged the keygen as a fake trojan or virus. It is completely safe. Corporations file anything illegal as unsafe or harmful. This is why. To resolve this, disable your AV for about 5 minutes, extract the keygen, use it, then delete it if you are concerned. Turn your AV back on.
Why can't I save my modified hosts file?
If you are having trouble saving your modified hosts file, right click 'hosts' in the folder and select 'Run as Administrator'. Once finished, click 'Save' rather than 'Save as..' as 'Save as..' will save it to a text document.
Why does Winrar say unable to extract or incorrect password?
Trying typing out 'Blaqkie' (without quotes) rather than copy and pasting.
Why won't Photoshop activate?
This can be due to a number of reasons. First of all, make sure your 'hosts' file has been edited. If it has, then trying rebooting your computer, and then entering a new key. If the problem persists, please comment.
Why won't the Windows 7 approved Portable Photoshop work?
Right click on the .exe or application, select the compatibility tab, and tick 'Run in compatibility mode' and select Windows XP or Vista.
Photoshop gives me an error and won't allow me to install?
This can be due to a number of reasons. First, make sure you downloaded the correct bit version for your computer. Secondly, delete any old Adobe Photoshop CS4 installations, and any traces. Your issue is most likely that you do not have hidden and known file extensions visible on your computer. For OS X users, all you have to do it select 'Get Info' and simply remove .txt.
